Grapes ‘N’ Hops Fest Saturday

The second annual Jamestown Grapes & Hops Festival presented by the Media 1 Group and the Northwest Arena will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature beer samplings and wine tasting from local breweries and wineries. For an up-to-date list, visit www.northwestarena.com. There are 600 tickets available. Tickets are $25 pre-sale, $35 the day of the event and $10 for designated drivers with each participant getting a commemorative Jamestown Grapes & Hops Festival drinking glass with logo. Legion To Host Breakfast

The Herman Kent Post 777 American Legion, 26 Jackson Ave., West Ellicott, Jamestown, will host a breakfast on Sunday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Included will be scrambled eggs or a made-to-order three-egg omelet, sausage gravy and biscuits, home fries, sausage, ham, toast, pancakes, juice, fruit and coffee. The cost of the omelet is $6; the buffet, $5. The public is welcome to attend. Proceeds will benefit Boys State Scholarship and post maintenance.

Babysitting Clinic Set For Monday

The Jamestown YMCA announces an upcoming date for the next YMCA babysitting clinic for boys and girls, ages 11-16. The clinic will be held on Martin Luther King Day, Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jamestown YMCA. The clinic will instruct participants about the responsibilities involved in caring for younger children including child development, safety, emergency response, and more. The clinic is taught by experienced instructors who have knowledge in child development, health and overall care of children. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Space is limited. Library Meeting Set For Tuesday

The Library Annual Association Meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Library. Immediately following will be the regular Board of Trustees meeting. Both events are open to public.

County Board Of Health To Meet

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in the Hall R. Clothier Building in the fourth floor conference room, Mayville. For more information, call the county Public Health Director’s office at 753-4590.

Library To Host Sluga Jan. 19

Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg will host a meeting with Janell Sluga — Geriatric Care Manager who works for Senior Life Matters, a division of Lutheran Senior Housing in Jamestown. Janell has been working in Senior Services for over 25 years and has an excellent overview of services and entitlements available for Seniors in our region. A large part of Janell’s time is providing insurance counseling and educating individuals with Medicare about their options and how to a choose the best one for their individual situation. This informational meeting will take place Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. at the Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg.

Frewsburg BOE To Meet Thursday

The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle/High School Library.
