Host Bazaars

The Lakewood Memorial Library will hold a Christmas Bazaar on Thursdays and Fridays from now to Dec. 16 during library hours. Handmade items will be for sale, with proceeds to benefit the library at 12 W. Summit Road in Lakewood.

Rodeo Seniors To Meet Friday

GERRY — The Rodeo City senior citizens will meet for their Christmas dinner this Friday at noon in the United Methodist Church in Gerry. There will be a ham dinner served. Those attending are asked to bring a dish of vegetables or a dessert to add to the meal, and their own table service. New members are welcome.

Job Corp Tour Set For Today

The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy will host an informational session and tour on it’s campus, located at 8115 Glasgow Road, Cassadaga, today beginning at 10 a.m. The Cassadaga Job Corps provides training to begin a career in the healthcare, construction and the security industries, as well as High School Equivalency classes to those in need of a diploma. Training in Certified Nurse Aide, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing and Electrical are available as well as the Advanced Training for Licensed Practical Nurse and a Security and Protective Services program. The Academy will accept young adults, age 16-24, that are committed to a rigorous education and training program that are prepared to launch a career. Applicants can apply for on-center living or non-residential status, and all applicants will enroll on a full federal scholarship if accepted. Lakewood ZBA To Meet Today

The next regular meeting of the Lakewood Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled for today at 7 p.m. in the board room of the Anthony C. Caprino Municipal Building, 20 W. Summit St., Jamestown.

New Office Hours Now In Effect

The town of Charlotte Town Clerk and village of Sinclairville Village Clerk office hours are now in effect: Monday: Closed; Tuesday: Noon to 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday: 1-4:30 p.m., (Closed the last Wednesday of the month); Thursday and Friday: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; First Saturday of the month: 8:30 am to noon.

Marco Polo Club Dinner Saturday

The Marco Polo Club will hold a spaghetti dinner on Saturday from 4:30-7 p.m. at 1027 E. Second St.., Jamestown. Dinners are $9 for adults and $5 for children. The public is welcome to attend.

Storytime Event Set For Saturday

Christmas storytime and activities will be held at the Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit Road in Lakewood., on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Sunday In Leon

LEON — Celebration Fellowship Church in Leon will not be having services on Sunday. All members will attend the Leon Historical Society’s Christmas program at 2 p.m. Services will resume at 11 a.m. Dec. 18 with Pastor John Reukauf.
