JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Kristen E. Capizzi, 22, of Jamestown was charged Wednesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. At 6:58 p.m. police responded to 738 Foote Ave. where they observed Capizzi, who had a city court warrant. She picked up a young child accompanying her when the officers approached and ran through an active parking lot, causing a car to abruptly stop to keep from striking her and the child. A family member was able to get the child away from Capizzi, who was then taken into custody. She was transported to city jail without incident. A small quantity of cocaine was found in her possession as well. Capizzi is being held pending arraignment.
¯ Bryon G. Hubbell, 41, of Jamestown was charged Thursday with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right, loud exhaust, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and criminal impersonation. At 8:54 p.m. police stopped Hubbell for failure to keep right and loud exhaust. He was found highly intoxicated and was caught giving officers a false name due to having a revoked drivers license from a previous DWI. Hubbell was transported to city jail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
¯ Kenneth WIggins, 57, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession. According to police, between July 12 and Wednesday, Wiggins, an employee of Wal-Mart, 350 E. Farmount Ave., Lakewood, allegedly stole $62.46 in food and drink during his breaks while at work. During processing, Wiggins was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will be in Busti Town Court later.
