Drug Bust Nets 85 Bags Of Heroin; Pair Charged

Two Jamestown residents are facing drug charges following an ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of heroin in the city area.

Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant Friday at 25 W. Ninth St. in the city. An investigation determined that sales of heroin were being conducted at 130 Fairview Ave. and later at the Ninth Street location.

Police reportedly gained entry Friday on Ninth Street with the help of the Jamestown SWAT team, where 85 bags of heroin were recovered as well as cash and paraphernalia.

Jeffrey L. Myers, 51, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for the bags of heroin and criminally using paraphernalia.

Also charged was Bradley M. McKay, 22, for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal nuisance.

Both are being held in Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.
