Mr. And Mrs. Matthew A. Lomicka

On September 10, 2022, Maya A. Larson and Matthew A. Lomicka pledged their vows at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water St., in Meadville, Pa., with Father Jeffrey J. Lucas as officiant.

Music was provided by pianist Sara SanFelice and the Cantor Scott Spinnato. Readings from the Old Testament by Ann Smith-Palenchar and from the New Testament by Tom Palencher, longtime family friends of the Lomicka family.

The bride is the only daughter of Christoper Larson (Christine Nelson) of Salamanca, N.Y., and Melinda Larson (Daniel Haymes) of Celoron, N.Y. Maya is a 2017 graduate of Jamestown High School, a 2022 social work degree graduate of the State University at Fredonia and is an employee of Bayada in Erie, Pa., as their home care associate.

The groom is the eldest son of David Lomicka and Christine Lomicka of Greensburg, Pa. Matthew is a 2013 graduate of Hempfield High School, with a master’s degree in cyber security from Penn State. He is employed by Erie Insurance as a cyber security analyst.

Their bridal party included Randi L. Thompson as the maid of honor and Jacob Gordon the best man. Bridesmaids were Samantha Snyder and Ashley Walrod. Groomsmen were Adam Lomicka and Connor Lomicka.

The celebration continued with cocktails, dinner, and dancing at the Hotel Conneaut Grand Ballroom, 12241 Lake St., in Conneaut Lake, Pa.

The couple met in July 2019 when they matched in an online dating app and officially became a couple in September that same year. The couple quickly began connecting on their values, interests, and hobbies. The couple enjoys golf, kayaking, biking, quad riding, hiking, and travel.

Their day was beautiful. It was filled with a traditional Catholic ceremony including their public proclamation of marriage by Father Lucas. The reception was filled with speeches, dining, signature cocktails, a traditional Polish cookie table and dancing. The couple was surrounded by family and friends who celebrated with them. Immediately after the wedding they honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

They now reside in Erie.
