Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lincoln Williams of The Woodlands, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirsten Gail, to Peter Andrew Swanson, the son of Linda V. Swanson of Lakewood, N.Y., and the late Dr. Randall L. Swanson. Mr. Swanson is also the grandson of Jean Voltmann of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Dr. John D. Voltmann and the late Harold and Donna Swanson of Jamestown.

Miss. Williams is 2004 graduate of Ursuline Academy of New Orleans. She received her undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing and English, and her Masters of Journalism in strategic communications from the University of Missouri. Ms. Williams founded a strategic communications firm, Compass360 Branding. She is also the publisher for M Streets Life (Dallas, TX), a monthly neighborhood based magazine. Her fiance is a 2005 gradate of Southwestern High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts in health and society (epidemiology and biostatistics) from the University of Rochester. He obtained his Masters of Public Administration from University of North Texas. He is the founder of 501ops, a technology and services firm for nonprofit organizations.

A March 2017 wedding is planned in New Orleans.
