Borowski — Calkins
Alexandra Calkins and Robert Borowski exchanged wedding vows on May 23, 2014, at the Hall of Philosophy at Chautauqua Institution. The Rev. J. Paul Womack performed the ceremony. Music was provided by the Jamestown String Quartet.
The bride is the daughter of Ryan and Debora Calkins of Greenhurst, N.Y., and the granddaughter of Angeline Monfort of Jamestown, N.Y. Her husband is the son of Lawrence and Patricia Borowski of Lakewood, N.Y., and the grandson of Rita Borowski of Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Lori Madl was maid of honor. Matron of honor was Allison Calkins, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Laura Borowski, sister of the groom, Chelsea Borowski, sister of the groom, and Tara Darling. Flower girl was Madelynn Calkins, niece of the bride.
Best man was Patrick Neligh. Groomsmen were Ryan Calkins, brother of the bride, Troy Calkins, brother of the bride, Drew Weaver and Patrick Inman. Ring bearer was Jack Calkins, nephew of the bride.
The bride received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2010, and is employed by the Handicapped Children’s Association in Johnson City, N.Y. Her husband received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University at Buffalo in 2009 and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. He is an internal medicine resident at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y.
They honeymooned in Mexico.
They are living in Johnson City, N.Y.
