MAYVILLE — Thirty-one Mayville Senior Citizens met on Oct. 20 at the VFW in Mayville.

President Janet Loomis called the meeting to order. Dianne Goodrich was absent due to illness, so Mary Carlson gave the invocation followed by Sandi Wagner doing the devotions.

The secretary’s report was given by Darlene Barney. Kathie Sukalac, treasurer, gave the treasurer’s report. Kathie reminded members she is starting to collect 2023 dues..

Goodwill chair Mary Carlson reported she sent out one get well card. Postage will be going up to 63 cents the end of January 2023.

Program chairman Bill Tornstrom stated that Steve Eng and Mark Davis will be the entertainment on Nov. 5.

The kitchen committee, Louis Richir, Dolly Gilbert, Joyce Ayers and Becky Dalziel were thanked for their hard work.

The club is contributing to Santa for Seniors and the Food Pantry again this year.

It was voted to have one meeting in January and one meeting in February of 2023. These meetings will be the third Thursday of each month.

Door Prizes were won by Wanda Gustafson, Ernest Farver, Darlene Barney, Sandi Wagner, Bonnie Johnson, VP. Sandy Light, Bonnie Johnson, Linda Anderson and Priscilla Farver. The lottery was won by Patti Snow.

Wanda Gustafson will be presenting a slate of officers at the November meeting.

The group’s Harvest Dinner is on Nov. 5, a Saturday, at noon at the VFW in Mayville. This will be free to the members but non members and guests will be paying $10.
