Program Is Seeking Volunteers

Chautauqua County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), located on the Lutheran campus, is a federal program guided by the mission is “To improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.”

These service opportunities are targeted for individuals aged 55 years and older

RSVP is currently seeking individuals to lend a hand at area Food Pantries. Duties would include working under the guidance of the food pantry coordinator to assist clients and families to secure necessary food to sustain themselves and their families. A very rewarding volunteer placement.

Lutheran Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), is a federal outreach program of Lutheran whose mission is: “To improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering” with emphasis on working with children assisting them to be successful in school, Head Start program or Pre-elementary setting.

Our project’s focus is birth through grade four. FGP is actively seeking positive role models to work one-on-one with children in need of extra help. These opportunities are targeted for individuals aged 55 years and older, however, if you are income eligible you may earn a tax-free stipend for your service.

The children you serve keep you young and active.
