This is the time of the year when you can compare health care plans to make sure you have the right health and prescription coverage for you.

Beware of Health Insurance brokers who:

¯ Who state they are approved, endorsed or authorized by Medicare, are calling on behalf of Medicare, or that Medicare asked them to call you.

¯ Approach you in common areas: such as a parking lot, hallway, lobby or sidewalk or solicit potential enrollees’ door to door (in person, or via leaflet).

Health insurance brokers can schedule appointments with beneficiaries only at the request of the beneficiary.
