Jamestown Senior Center Gathers Locally

The Jamestown Senior Center, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown, met recently with 24 members attending.

New members welcomed were Diana Beard, Diane Nelson, Sylvia Anderson and Ruth Wilson Korcyl. Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by God Bless America led by Laurel Magnuson.

Anniversaries acknowledged were Don and Joanne Puder and Gary and Barbara Krueger.

The Branson, Mo., trip through Sept. 21 departs at the Route 60 Park and Ride near Jamestown at 8 a.m.

Kerry Mikalo from the diabetes association gave a presentation of rules one should follow if they have diabetes.

Door prizes were won by Marilyn Wilcox, Barbara Moya, Beverly Giltinan, Gary Krueger and Laurie Magnuson. Members had coffee and cookies donated by members.

The next meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 24 for a tureen lunch. Those attending should bring their own table service and a dish to pass.
