Senior Center Members Meet At City Church

Jamestown Senior Center members met for a tureen in the fellowship hall of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

New members welcomed were Betty Johnson, Rose Prieur, Carol Diemer and Karen Hurburt. Members Winnie DeFrancisco and Willamae Rupinski were welcomed back. Vanderburg opened the meeting with the group reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America.

Birthdays acknowledged were Wanda McKotch, Bill Hazenberg and Carol Diemer.

Reservations for the June 18 trip to the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum and Sprague’s restaurant are still available. A choice of ribs or turkey on the menu is required for the meal. Let the office know of your choice when signing up.

Openings for the trip to Branson, Mo. on Sept. 15 to 21 are still available. See the office for details.

The April 23 meeting will include a speaker from the Dwyer Program, which helps veterans in their transition after service in the military. All veterans are encouraged to attend. Visitors are welcome. Refreshments will be available. The meeting will take place at 1 p.m. in the church hall.

Door prizes were won by David Fye, Norma McKinley, Angie Loverme, Gary Krueger and Barbara Krueger.

The meeting adjourned at 2 p.m.
