Walk With Ease Program Begins In Westfield

Walk with Ease is now being offered at St Peter’s Church, 12 Elm St in Westfield. The Walk with Ease program is scientifically proven to help reduce pain and stiffness associated with arthritis and is beneficial for anyone who would like to begin a regular walking program. Studies by the Thurston Arthritis Research Center and the Institute on Aging at the University of North Carolina have shown that the Walk with Ease program increased balance and strength, increased physical activity, and improved overall health. The program is led by two Certified Walk with Ease instructors and meets for one hour three times a week for six weeks on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 1-2 p.m. The free program began on Wednesday. For more information call 753-4795. The Walk with Ease program is being presented by the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services and the Office for the Aging.
