JPS Sends Thanks To Local Funders Of LEAP

Without the support of our local funders, the JPS LEAP Program would not be possible. Jamestown Public Schools would like to give a big thank you to: the Lenna Foundation, Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, The Cummins Foundation, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and the Jamestown Schools Promise Fund. Their assistance helped provide vital literacy education and enrichment activities for Jamestown children this summer. The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant, District Title 1 funds and Community Schools Aid also funded the JPS LEAP Program.

“Our local foundations provided $115,000 for the JPS LEAP program,” said Amanda Gesing, JPS 21st Century grant director. “This generous support was the icing on the cake allowing us to enhance an already robust design to include local agencies that were able to provide numerous field trips and fun activities. We cannot thank enough our community foundations who support our children in so many ways, including the JPS LEAP Program.”
