Infinity Welcomes New Instructors

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts welcomes two new instructors.

Jon Clarke, digital/audio production instructor, is a graduate of the Sound Recording Technology program in SUNY Fredonia. Clarke knows all about audio and the physics behind what makes today’s recorded music great. Under the guidance of Dr. Bernd Gottinger, Dave Fridmann, Mike Rorick, Joe Kelly and Steve Remote, Clarke learned how to make systems work and how to work systems of all kinds.

Under the guidance of Greg Snow, he has learned about the electronics involved in recording and knows why things happen and how to manipulate and modify devices to his advantage. Clarke fixes and modifies equipment for many local artists in Western New York and will be constantly working on improving the studios at Infinity. He also produces his own music that he sells to others to use and records and mixes bands wherever they may be, being sure to preserve yet enhance the band’s energetic performances.

Caroline Chatterton, strings instructor, is a 27-year-old violinist who graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education and music performance. She then went on to receive her master’s degree in library and information science from Syracuse University.

Chatterton has been teaching privately for 10 years and is passionate about motivating students to be lifelong learners and musicians. She has performed with various orchestras, including the College Symphony and Chamber Orchestra at SUNY Fredonia, College Orchestra at SUNY Oswego and the Southern Tier Symphony. She has also participated in master classes with artists such as Glen Dicterow, former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic. She spends her time working in the Reed Library at SUNY Fredonia and teaching a wide range of students, including young children, adult beginners, individuals with special needs and advanced high school/college students.

Infinity Welcomes New Instructors

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts welcomes two new instructors.

Ellen Feldt, art instructor, is an artist from Jamestown who has always had a passion for art. When she was little, she went with her mother to Fredonia State College, where she visited the art classrooms her mother was taking at the time. This is where her love of art began. Seeing her mother’s paintings sparked an interest in her that would last a lifetime. After that, her parents would take her to art museums on her birthdays. Throughout school, art was her favorite subject, and she took every art class offered. After high school, she continued her art education by watching how-to videos on YouTube and learning different techniques.

Teal Weatherley, vocal instructor, is a musician who has been performing locally for several years. She began performing musicals with the JCC Uncommoners, and continued her music career playing with local bands such as Two for Flinching, Zamira, Steve Johnson Band, Coal Train, and We Speak Canadian. She has been classically trained with vocal instructor Jody Vitarelli, and has followed in her mentor’s footsteps by becoming a vocal instructor herself. She currently enjoys singing with her church band and standing in with fellow musician friends for special events.
