Rebecca Lynn Young Matthew William Beatty

David and Heather Young of Falconer, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Lynn, to Matthew William Beatty, the son of Steven and Margaret Beatty of Pocatello, Idaho.

Miss. Young is a 2017 graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor’s of science degree in communications and a bachelor’s of arts in theater. She is the administrative and communications assistant at the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, N,Y. She also works as an assistant bookkeeper at Threshold Automotive Services. Her fiance is finishing his last year of his undergraduate studies at Idaho State University. In May, he will be graduating with a bachelor’s of science in nuclear engineering, a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering and an associate’s degree in mathematics. He is employed at Idaho State University as a senior nuclear reactor operator.

An Aug. 18, 2018, wedding in Jamestown, N.Y., is planned.
