Katie J. Ball, DVM and Alexander L. Rawls announce their engagement.

Miss Ball is the daughter of Larry and Natalie Ball of Arkwright, N.Y. Her fiance is the Mark and Mary Lou Rawls of Tonawanda, N.Y.

Miss Ball is a 2002 graduate of the State University at Fredonia and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She currently owns a mixed animal ambulatory veterinary practice, Arkwright Veterinary Services. Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of Kenmore East High School and earned his certificate in CNC Precision Machining from Erie Community College in 2013. He is employed by Servotronics in Elma, N.Y., as a CNC machinist.

An August 2017 wedding is planned in Arkwright, N.Y.
