Dan and Becky Hallberg of Frewsburg, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Staci, to Juan Martin Hoyos Garrido, the son of Jorge Humbeito Hoyos and Patricia Garrido de Hoyos of Cali, Columbia.

Miss Hallberg is a 2008 graduate of Frewsburg Central School and a 2012 graduate of Buffalo State College and FIT. She is employed with Verizon Wireless as a solutions manager in Fuquay Varina, N.C. Her fiance is a graduate of Wakefield High School, Wake Technical Community College, and North Carolina State University with a bachelors in Spanish literature. He is employed by Verizon as a solutions specialist, in Apex, N.C.

An Oct. 14, 2017 wedding is planned.
