Frisson To Perform Friday

The Jamestown Concert Association welcomes , Frisson, for the association’s second presentation of the 2019-2020 Season on Friday, at 8 PM at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St., Jamestown.

This New York City ensemble’s name, “Frisson,” is defined as “a shiver or thrill; a sudden burst of excitement.”

The group is composed of musicians from the nation’s major music schools including Juilliard, Curtis, and Yale and are being heralded as the “best and brightest of classical music’s rising stars.”

The ensemble — comprised of two violins, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, and oboe — will present works from composers Boccherini, Mozart, Gershwin, and Dvorak.

The ensemble performing Friday will be a septet — two violins, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, and oboe.

Admission is by season pass, or pre-sale tickets for this event are available at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts box office 484-7070, Chautauqua Music, and Germaine & Pappalardo Music.

Tickets will also be available at the door.

The Jamestown Concert Association is dedicated to classical music and ensuring that it continues to flourish in Jamestown.
