Paul and Martha Cooley of Gerry, N.Y. were recently honored on the occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary with a drive-by parade that included the Gerry Fire Department equipment and approximately 25 automobiles filled with area friends.

The Cooleys, who were childhood sweethearts, were married in 1955 in Indiana, Pa. He is retired from teaching and coaching at Cassadaga Valley High School while she dedicated her life to supporting his career and raising their three daughters who have given them five granddaughters and recently their first great-grandson.
