James and Shirley Burnett of Mayville, N.Y. will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary later this year once the Coronavirus concerns have subsided. They are the parents of James Burnett (Kimberly Newton) of Mayville, N.Y., and Robert Burnett (Karen) of Spencerport, N.Y. They have three grandchildren: Bridget, Charlie and Spencer.

Theywere married April 1, 1960, at the First Methodist Church in Mayville N.Y.

Burnett was employed at Kling’s in Mayville, and retired from the NYS DOT in Mayville after 33 years of service. Mrs. Burnett worked at the First National Bank in Mayville, and retired from the Chautauqua County Personnel Department after 28 years of service.

Burnett was a Little League baseball coach for many years. Mrs. Burnett is a member of the Tuesday Club at Mayville Library.
