MR. AND MRS. JACK SOUTHERN

Jack ”Walleye Jack” and Wanda Southern of Brookdale in Lakewood, N.Y., formerly of Illinois, Bemus Point, N.Y., and Winter Haven, Fla., will celebrate their 73rd wedding anniversary on March 16, 2020. They are the parents of Rodney (Mary Ann) Southern of Lakewood, N.Y., Robyn (Tony) Krotz of Crystal Lake, Ill., and Kristina (Arthur) Watson of Naples, Fla. They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Southern and the former Wanda Fox were married March 16, 1947, at the Beason United Methodist Church in Beason, Ill.

Southern had been employed as a fuel and farm chemical distributor and school bus driver for more than 30 years in Illinois. Mrs. Southern was an assistant post mistress in Beason, Ill., and office manager of the Edward D. Jones office in Lincoln, Ill.

Southern was a volunteer fireman and they both attended Bemus Point United Methodist Church.
