Frederick and Catherine Obert of Sinclairville, N.Y., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2019, with a family dinner and on July 4, 2019, at a picnic in Cassadaga, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children: Lisa ( Dr. Rodney) Waite of Cassadaga, N.Y., Natalie (John) Manno of Jamestown, N.Y., and Thomas (Julie) Obert of Portland, N.Y. They have six grandchildren: Zachary (Margaret) Waite, Alexander Waite, Nathaniel Waite, Mariana Waite, Justin Yarbrough and Victoria Joy Manno and three step-grandchildren: Jacob (Lindsay) Killian, Dallas Delcamp and Jess Delcamp. They also have six great-grandchildren: Charles Scott, Peyton Waite, Henry Waite, Cali Killion, Jaxson Killian and Alex Luczkowiak.

Obert and the former Catherine Abbey were married June 6, 1959, at the Kennedy United Methodist Church. The Rev. Richard McIntarfer performed the ceremony.

Obert is a retired inspector of Marlin Rockwell Inc and SKF in Falconer, N.Y., where he was employed for 40 years. Mrs. Obert is a retired fifth grade teacher from Southwestern Central School, retiring after teaching for 29 years.
