MR. AND MRS. THOMAS ‘‘TOM’’ NIBALI

Thomas ”Tom” Conti and Agnes M. Nibali of Lutherville, Md., celebrated their 75th wedding aniniversary on July 28, 2018, with a dinner at Michael’s Cafe in Timonium, Md. The celebration was hosted by their children Karen (Jack) Saccenti and Joe (Julie) Nibali and their daughter-in-law, Nancy (the late Tom) Nibali. They have six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Nibali and the former Agnes M. Wohnhaas were married Aug. 1, 1943, in St. Anthony of Padua Church in East Baltimore.

Nibali served as a pilot in the U.S. Naval Air Force and as a navigator in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He had been employed by the U.S. Naval Department, Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Administration and the Public Defender’s Office. He also had a private law practice and was involved in real estate. Mrs. Nibali had been employed by Glenn L. Martin Aircraft and the Social Security Administration.

During their 75 years of marriage, they were a part of a dance group and danced to a lot of Polka music, went to Mass frequently and faithfully prayed the Rosary every evening. They enjoy watching ”Jeopardy” and the ”Wheel of Fortune” and they are fans of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. They credited their 75 years of marriage to their faith and the idea that Mom’s the boss.
