Charles and Joanne Huntington of Napoli celebrated their 70th wedding with a party and a blessing and anointing by Father Peter Napierkowski of Our Lady of Peace. The party was hosted by their children. They are the parents of Jim (Janet) Huntington, Jackie Huntington, Judy (Bill) MacMillan and Chris (Terry) Stark. They also have nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

They were married Aug. 30, 1947.

Huntington is a veteran of U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He retired from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department where he had been employed as a correction officer. He is a life member of the Little Valley Lions Club. Mrs. Huntington retired from the Cattaraugus County BOCE where she had been employed as a film librarian. They are both members of the Salamanca Garden Club.
