FORESTVILLE — Silver Creek’s 6-0 lead through two innings held up for a 6-4 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 softball win over Forestville on Monday. The Hornets (8-2, 7-1) rallied for four runs in the final two innings and had the bases loaded with one out in the seventh before the Black Knights (7-2, 6-1) reliever Rylee Weiskerger struck out the final two batters of the game. Southwestern Central School senior wrestler Tavio Hoose has been named co-recipient of the 2026 Richard “Pete” Hausrath Division II Outstanding Wrestler Award by the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
