Falconer falls 3-2 in Section VI final

ORCHARD PARK — A doubles tiebreaker went Lewiston-Porter’s way as the Lancers beat Falconer 3-2 to claim the Section VI Division 2 girls tennis team title Tuesday at Orchard Park High School. Lewiston-Porter’s Skylar Elliott and Kiersten Elliott won their first doubles match 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 with an 8-6 tiebreaker to lock up the Lancers’ victory. NORTH COLLINS — Audrey Eckwahl netted a hat trick, her 99th, 100th and 101st career goals, as Frewsburg blanked North Collins 3-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls soccer Tuesday. FREWSBURG — Jamestown’s Thomas Kathman's time of 17:42 led all of the boys in cross country action at the Frewsburg Sports Complex, but second-place Anson Miller and Falconer/Cassadaga Valley squeaked by for Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association victory with 41 points Tuesday. BUSTI — Seventy-six cars took the green flag for the Busti Auto Stateline 200. For the second straight year, Meadville, Pennsylvania's Brian Rydbom earned the top prize and $2,500 winners purse.
