City Police Investigating Shooting Incidents

Jamestown police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night on East Eighth Street near Fulton Street and another shooting near the 7-11 store on North Main Street. Officers responded to the area at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a shooting that had just taken place. Once on the scene officers found an 18-year-old boy with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The youth was taken to UPMC Chautauqua. Around 10:10 p.m. officers responded to the 7-11 store on North Main Street for another shooting, though officers found no one was injured in the second incident. ...

Brocton Man Charged With Forcible Touching

A Brocton man has been charged with forcible touching by Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies. Dale F. Parks, 68, of Brocton was charged Tuesday, according to a police report. Deputies received a complaint on Oct. 17, 2025, that Parks allegedly had inappropriate contact with another person. After an investigation into the allegations, investigators with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office charged Parks , who was given an appearance ticket to be in Portland Town Court later.

City Woman Charged After Child Found Wandering Near Road

A Jamestown woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after a 3-year-old was found Wednesday walking unsupervised near a busy road. Jamestown police officers responded to the south side of Jamestown after being alerted by neighborhood residents and began looking for the child's parent or guardian. The child allegedly left the home without child's mother knowing Tayshia M. Berg, 24, of Jamestown, and had been outside between 20 and 40 minutes.
