Apple Butter Festival Scheduled For Oct. 10 WESTFIELD - The West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 E. Route 20, Westfield, will host its 12th annual Apple Butter Festival. On Saturday, Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with old-fashioned kettle cooked apple butter available for a donation. There also will be more than 40 vendors offering various sale items including food vendors. The festival will take place rain or shine. RTPI To Open New Exhibit Oct. 9 The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will host an opening reception for Flights of Feathers: Migratory Birds from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9. Guests will be the first to experience the second major exhibition of the year, and learn about how and why birds travel hundreds, sometimes thousands of miles, during their migrations. Saturday Scandinavian Culture Day Lecture To Focus On Oscar Lenna John Everett Jones will present a lecture Saturday as part of Scandinavian Culture Day in the Hamilton Collegiate Center at Jamestown Community College on Oscar Lenna.
