Samuel J. “Poppy” Ferraro, 92, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Samuel was born on August 22,1933, a son of the late Charles and Concetta “Mary” Vaccaro Ferraro. Samuel attended Jamestown Public Schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and he was stationed in Germany. Samuel worked for Art Metal and later was self-employed as a paint contractor finishing work on homes. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, hunter and fisherman.
