When Bradley Proctor passed away in July at the age of 59, his family looked for a way to honor his memory while supporting the sport he loved.

Recently, they established The Bradley A. Proctor Memorial Wrestling Scholarship Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation to support a Jamestown High School graduate involved with the school's wrestling program.

"Brad loved wrestling," his wife Carmela said. "He wrestled while a student at Southwestern and he loved to watch his son, Christopher, wrestle at JHS."

Until he passed, Proctor volunteered as a coach at both Jamestown High School and Southwestern Central School.

"Brad would have been very happy to have this scholarship to support area youth," Carmela said.
