The 27th annual Eppehimer Open was held at Maplehurst Golf Course recently.

The first-place winners with an 18-under 52 went to the team of Keith Erickson, Pastor Wayne Eppehimer, Scott Berry and Chad Swan.

The second-place team was determined by a match of cards as Ken Williams, John Schults, Kurt Sturzenbecker and Doug Brown came in with a 16-under 54. The team of Carl Swan, Dan Lindsey, the Rev. Woody Stemple and Trever Luke also shot 16-under to come in third.

The winner of the longest drive was Williams. The closest to the pin award went to Chad Swan. The closest to the line winner went to Dan Schwob. And the award for the longest drive opposite hand this year also went to Luke.

The event helped to raise money for Youth Missions. Many area businesses helped to sponsor the outing, such as Five Star Bank, Roto Rooter, Lind Funeral Home, Valentine Enterprises, 3 C’s Catering, Hair Port Salon, Jamestown Mattress, Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Frewsburger Pizza Shop, Maplehurst Country Club, The Main Landing, Safelite Autoglass, Mary Crossley-LMT, Lena’s Pizza, Lindsey Refrigeration, Fessenden, Laumer & DeAngelo, Hotel Lenhart, Richards Restaurant, The Bucket Cafe and the William Farr Agency of Allstate Insurance Company.

The Rev. Sam Shreffler of the Heritage Group gave a short devotional during the dinner.
