LETCHWORTH -- Led by Most Valuable wrestler Robbie Penhollow (182-195), Falconer Central School placed third in the Letchworth Duals with an 8-2 record.
Penhollow compiled a 10-0 record en route to winning the MVP honors. The Golden Falcons' losses were to Greenwood-Canisteo and Pioneer.
Falconer did pick up eight wins to advance to 20-5 on the season. The Golden Falcons beat Palmayra-Macedon, 60-24; Letchworth, 57-13; Alexander, 60-18; Attica, 49-27; Midlakes, 43-8; Marcus Whitman, 62-16; Keshaqua, 84-6 and Warsaw, 66-17.
Also going 10-0 for Falconer were Dylan Ingrao (152), Dan Torres (170-182) and
Corey Keefe (195-200). Ingrao recorded his 200th victory and Torres earned his 150th win during the tourney. Meanwhile, Grant Cheney went 4-0 at 220 pounds and Jordan Dustin was 3-0 at 160 pounds; Bryce Baglia had a 7-2 record at 152-160 pounds; Brayden Newman at 99 pounds, Trent Colburn at 113 pounds and Colin Mower at 285 pounds were 7-3; and Hunter Teboe and Nick Saeger were both 6-4 at 120 and 138 pounds respectively.
