Supporting United Way

As we enter the holiday season, we have reason to be optimistic as we strive toward our goal of helping to improve the quality of life for all those that call Southern Chautauqua County home. We are thankful to so many individuals and organizations that have pledged their support to our local United Way. At the same time, we are renewing our call to action to those that have yet to respond to join the cause by investing in the future of our community.

Hundreds of volunteers stand ready to put your United Way donations to work with an eye on four strategic objectives: families are self-sufficient, everyone is ready to work, young people succeed in school and people in need can find help. When we all answer the call to support these efforts, the positive returns in our community are real and measurable. Since 100 percent of all contributions stay local, our neighborhoods are safer, our students are more prepared, our companies more productive and those in times of crisis and despair can find the help they need to renew their hope for a better tomorrow.

The rewards of supporting the United Way go beyond the positive impact that is tangible in our communities. The feeling of knowing that your contributions, joined with others, play a direct and vital role in improving the lives of over 31,000 individuals in Southern Chautauqua County provides a return on investment that cannot be measured.

Please join us by investing in our community to create a better tomorrow by Living United and supporting our local United Way today.

Hans Auer is the 2015 United Way Campaign chairman.
