Word has been received from Largo, Fla., that Doris Swan has passed away.
She was born April 15, 1945, and passed away on April 15, 2017, after a very lengthy illness.
Doris was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Scott Swan; her mother, Lenore Swanson; and two sisters: Ann Panebianco and Bunny Robertson. Doris leaves behind her daughter, Pamela Penhollow; five grandchildren; four sisters: Bertha Simmons, Barb Simmons, Agnes Briggs and Vernice Benedetto; and a brother, Frank Swanson.
Doris graduated from Panama Central School and worked at the former Jamesway Department Store as head cashier for 10 years. She then went to work at BOCES as a teacher aide for another nine years. She finished the next 20 years at the Warren Forest County Economic Council as a supervisor for some of their many programs.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
