Domestic Dispute Leads To Leandra’s Law Violation, DWI Charges
A domestic dispute led to numerous charges, including driving while intoxicated and Leandra’s Law violations, against a Jamestown man Saturday.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded around 4:15 p.m. to 116 William St. for a reported domestic dispute. During an investigation, officers learned 38-year-old Jamie A. Clifton Sr. allegedly took a vehicle without consent.
Police also learned Clifton was intoxicated with two children, ages 2 and 10, in the vehicle.
Clifton was charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), DWI, third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
The city man was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
