KENNEDY -- Both beauties and beasts, along with goblins ghouls, and superheroes had a fun time at the annual Poland Recreation Committee Halloween party in the Kennedy Fire Hall.

Many different games were available around the hall, with candy and prizes. There were also plenty of cookies, doughnuts and cider for refreshments as well.

Following the games, the grand march was held. Different age groups marched one at a time, and as always, the judges had a difficult job deciding the winners in the different categories. In the 3 and under group, the most original prize was awarded to Jayce Stewart as a dinosaur/dragon. The scariest was Batman, portrayed by Luke Wickmark. Cutest was awarded to Colten Reynolds in his Paw Patrol outfit.

Next up were the 4- to 6- year olds. Most original was awarded for the pink unicorn outfit of Ellison Conti. The scariest was the pumpkin skeleton of Tavares White. Lydia Cross received the cutest prize for her pink and purple princess gown.

The 7- to 9- year olds showed their styles next. Most original was awarded to Journey White as a spray can of Silly String. Callen Lindberg was scariest as a zombie. The cutest award went to Rebecca Meyer as a black cat. Age 10 and over was the final parade group. Toby Sperry and Chelsea Burnett won most original as a chef and a doctor. The grim reaper costume of Clayton Evans was scariest. Rachel Wallace won the cutest award as a purple monster.

Thanks were given to the Recreation Committee for another fine tradition in the town of Poland continuing.

Starting at /week.
