For its 40th anniversary this year, the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation wanted to do something BIG.

Today, the Foundation will host the region’s first 24-hour, online fundraising event, Give Big CHQ.

“Give Big CHQ is designed to unite people in our community around causes they care about and raise as many dollars as possible for local, nonprofit organizations,” said Tory Irgang, Community Foundation executive director.

In recent years, online giving days have been quickly gaining momentum across the country to rally people together to support specific organizations and causes.

The Foundation has partnered with GiveGab, a leading expert in giving days, to develop and support its online platform. Organizations will have the opportunity to build a fundraising page and campaign around a project or current need they have.
