The West Side Women of Jamestown met on Friday, Feb. 23, at Bethel Lutheran Church.

President Elaine Damsteegt began the meeting by thanking our outgoing officers: Madelyn Olson, treasurer; Maxine Castiglione, program chair; and Ruby Burns, fellowship chair. Each of these women were given a gift as a token of appreciation for their years of service. Maxine Castiglione conducted the installation of officers for 2018-19. They are listed as follows: Co-Presidents Elaine Damsteegt and Christina Jones; Secretary Kathy Moore; Treasurer Janet Thom; Chaplain Angela Genco; Program Co-Chairs Linnea Himes and Christine Storms; Membership Chair Shirley Edgren; and Fellowship Co-Chairs Carole Colter and Sally Patchen.

The next meeting will be on Friday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church. The speaker will be an International Exchange Student of JCC, from the country of Tunisia in North Africa. The club welcomes any woman who is interested in becoming a member of the group — she should be a resident of the West Side, or Westerly Suburbia of Jamestown.
