Jamestown Public Schools Board Of Education Appoint New Transportation Supervisor

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education recently appointed Thomas Blidy as the district's new transportation supervisor.
As transportation supervisor Blidy is responsible for the supervision of the operation and maintenance of the school district transportation system including supervision of bus drivers and mechanics. Blidy assumed his new position on July 31.
Blidy has more than 13 years experience in school transportation. His most recent position was supervisor of buildings, grounds and transportation for the Wellsville Central School District. He has also worked for the state Department of Transportation as a transportation construction inspector and supervisor of transportation for the Orchard Park Central School District, Depew Union Free School District and North Collins School District.
"I am very pleased that we were able have Tom join the JPS team as our Transportation Supervisor," said Carl Pillittieri, Jamestown Public Schools director of building, grounds and transportation. "Tom brings with him many years of experience, special certifications and a genuine interest in the transportation industry, particularly student transportation. I am confident in his abilities to streamline the transportation department efficiency in service delivery and training as we move forward under the guidelines that we must adhere to. I am looking forward to working closely with Tom."
