STEMS Spring Training Held

The ninth annual STEMS Spring Training was held March 27 and March 28 at the Premier Banquet Center in Olean. This two-day event is held every year, and gives local EMS providers a chance to network and learn about new advancements in pre-hospital trauma care. Local medical care providers and EMS educators came together to educate the 200 attendees who were at the conference. Some of the featured presenters of the conference were: Phil Wilson, who presented on “Bites, Stings and Things”; and Debbie Weaver, chief flight nurse of Starflight, who presented on the air medical services industry and its importance to our community. Ron Hasson of ALSTAR EMS, also a member of the Southwestern Regional EMS Council, was the emcee for the event.
