Absolut Care To Host Fundraiser

WESTFIEILD -- Absolut Care of Westfield will host a breast cancer fundraiser from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 21. Cherry Creek FA To Hold Auctions

The annual auction to benefit the Cherry Creek Fire Auxiliary will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, and Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Cherry Creek Fire Hall, both at 6 p.m. Auctioneer Brian Miller will be present. Refreshments will be served at the auctions.

Ellington Town Board To Meet

ELLINGTON -- The Ellington Town Board will hold budget meetings on Oct. 4 and Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Regular board meetings will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and Oct. 25. All meetings are at the Ellington Town Hall, 813 W.Main St., Ellington. The public is welcome to attend.

Harmony Seniors Change Location

The Harmony Senior Citizens meet on the first Thursday of each month. The meetings (due to construction) are now being held at the North Harmony Senior Citizen Center in Stow. The group meets at 5 p.m. during the month of October and at noon November through April. Anyone age 55 or older is welcome to attend.

I-86 Auto Repair To Hold Open House

I-86 Truck and Auto Repair, 1739 Lindquist Dr. in Falconer (behind the John Deere dealer), will be hosting an open house celebration to showcase recent renovations and additions to its facility. The event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will feature a free car care clinic, live radio remote, food and prizes. Kids activities include pumpkin painting and "Cars" coloring pages. The public is welcome to attend, rain or shine.

Lake Sewer Board To Meet Tuesday

The administrative board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer District will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at noon at the water pollution control facility. The meeting is open to the public.

Sinclairville Library Book Sale Oct. 5

SINCLAIRVILLE -- The Sinclairville Free Library's annual book sale will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, from 2-7 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a bag sale Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is accepting new and gently used books, audio books and DVDs in good condition. The library is not accepting encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines or Reader's Digest condensed novels. Donations can be brought to the library during regular business hours. JPL To Host Oktoberfest Event

The James Prendergast Library will be hosting a special Oktoberfest fundraiser titled "Books, Brats and Beers" after regular library hours from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Admission is free, and food and drink will be available for purchase. Several books will be spotlighted on display and available to check out on related topics such as travel books for Germany, titles on German heritage, and even books on how to brew beer.
