LAKEWOOD, N.Y. — John Blum fired a gross 37 to pace the Youngsville Senior Golf League at Maplehurst Country Club.

Other top gross scores were Dale Johnson 40, Tim Sandberg 40, Jim California 41, Fred Carder 41, Terry Jackson 41 and Art Ward 41.

Jackson, Jim Chapman and Doc Young led the net scores with a 32. Other net scores were Rick Hutley 33, Doug Thompson 33, Carder 34, Nick Archuleta 34 and Bill Gross 34.

California (three), Blum (two), and Carder, Gross, Jackson, Ward, Joe Cerrie and Jon Steffan (one apiece) recorded the most birdies.

California was closest to the pin on his second shot.
