FREDONIA — Ella Koopman scored 15 points and Piper Walnicki added six rebounds and five assists to highlight Fredonia’s 34-25 victory over Sherman in a nonleague girls basketball game Thursday.

The Hillbillies were aided by a strong defensive effort in which they limited the Wildcats to 10 points in the second half.

Tayden Persons led Sherman with 8 points and 11 rebounds, and Teagan Gratto pulled down seven boards.
