Scholastic Trap

The Western Conference season of the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League came to an end May 23.

Perfect scores were recorded by Sherman’s David Maleski and Andrew Beatman, with Beatman’s being his first 25.

Panama won the team title with a season total of 1,013, led by conference High Gun Nolan Gunnell’s 141.

Sherman finished second with a 971, led by Beatman’s 127. Olivia Lindsey was Sherman’s High Female Gun with a 102 while Isaiah Burkholder was the High Gun R/U Male with a 127 and Mary Fuller was the High Gun R/U Female with a 94.

Falconer finished in third with a 957, led by High Male Gun Gage Swanson (131) and High Female Gun Anna Carlson (109). Cooper Doud was Falconer’s High Gun Male R/U with a 128 and Katrina Schrantz was the High Gun Female R/U with a 66.

Clymer was fourth overall with a 933.

Southwestern finished fifth with an 862, paced by High Male Gun Chase Kartesz (135) and High Female Gun Lydia Covert (131).

Cassadaga Valley finished sixth with an 841. Alex Kahle was the High Male Gun (134) and Allison Wares was the High Female Gun (74).

Westfield shot an 828 for seventh place, led by High Male Gun Kyle Pierce (137) and High Female Gun Chelsea Pierce (108). Eldon Scriven was the High Male Gun R/U with a 127 and Emma Dulmus was the High Female Gun R/U with an 83.

Finishing in eight place was Chautauqua Lake with a season total of 779. Logan Ecklund was High Male Gun with a 126 and Kadence Chapman was High Female Gun. Kody Erhard was High Male Gun R/U with a 118 and Gabi Freeburg was High Female Gun R/U.

Maple Grove finished ninth with a 757. Brogan Egan was High Male Gun (126) and Bri Loomis was High Female Gun.

Brocton finished 10th with a 535, led by High Male Gun Nick Wallace (100) and High Gun R/U Male Adam Reisenweber (99).

Gunnell and Covert finished as the conference’s High Guns for the season.
