LAKEWOOD — The Westfield boys tennis team edged Falconer 3-2 in nonleague action at the Lakewood YMCA on Wednesday.

The Wolverines (1-0) were paced by singles wins from Thayne Bodenmiller over Zachary Kianos and Oliver Rac over Javier Gonzales, 8-1 and 8-0, respectively. Westfield sealed the deal with a win in second doubles thanks to Cody Hoffman and Collin Hoffman 8-4 over JC Hannon and Cyrus Jones.

Falconer (0-1) earned the win in third singles as Joshua Erickson downed Mihir Patel 8-5 and the pair of Curtis Hannon and Patrick Holmberg defeated Corentin Goncalves and Micah Heim 8-4 in first doubles.
