Kyle Benish, the PGA golf professional at Holiday Valley, has been recognized by the PGA of Western New York for two awards that, according to the resort’s website, “showcase his love of the game and commitment towards growing the already-thriving golf community in Western New York.”

The first award the Jamestown resident received is the 2022 WNYPGA Player Development Award. Formerly known as the President’s Plaque Award, it recognizes the WNYPGA pro who has shown an ability to help grow the game. The second award — the 2022 WNYPGA Resort Merchandiser of the Year Award — is given to the WNYPGA pro who has excelled on the merchandising side of promoting golf.

Benish was also a WNYPGA Golf Professional of the Year Award nominee.

PGA Coach/American Development Model certified, Benish is a member of the WNYPGA Board of Directors, chairman of the Junior Golf/Growth of the Game Committee and a member of the Tournament and Hall of Fame/Awards committees. In addition, he has been recognized as Assistant Professional of the Year a record three times by the WNYPGA and has been featured in the PGA Magazine twice.
