Scanlan Shines Again At Lacrosse World Championship

TOWSON, Md. — Miya Scanlan scored three of Haudenosaunee’s six first-period goals en route to a 20-2 victory over Argentina in the World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship on Monday.

Haudenosaunee (4-1, 4-1) led 9-2 at halftime and then outscored Argentina 11-0 after the break, setting up today’s noon contest against Scotland.

Scanlan, the Gowanda High School graduate, finished with four goals on seven shots, but also had plenty offensive support as Lois Garlow also had four goals, Taylor Frank had three, Ivy Santana and Timmia Bomberry both had two, and Jayln Jimerson, Wynter Jock, Jacelyn Lazore, Paige Crandall and Fawn Porter all had one. Jimerson and Frink also collected three assists.

Today’s game against Scotland will be broadcast on ESPN+.
