Christmas in July weekend will kick off at Diethrick Park on Friday when the Jamestown Tarp Skunks entertain Niagara. First pitch is at 7 p.m. Courtesy of Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union and Collaborative Children’s Solutions, 500 free tickets will be distributed at the gate. Children 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. In addition, members of the SCFCU will have an in-game 50/50 drawing and will toss out prizes. During pregame, Cassadaga Valley Central School graduate and U.S. Paralympian Rayven Sample, above, will be honored. In the middle of the fourth inning, youngsters will have the chance to participate in an on-field “Run with Rayven.” The night will conclude with a postgame fireworks display.
