CCAA D1 West Announces All-Star Teams

The Fredonia Hillbillies softball team won the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West title this spring.
With a strong regular season came plenty of postseason awards for the Hillbillies including four girls named First Team All-Stars and coaches Jesse Beers and Tim Wright earning Coaches of the Year honors.
Fredonia seniors Lila Cameron and Erin Schrantz were joined by junior Gaby Matos and sophomore Jordan Lucas on the First Team.
Like Fredonia, Falconer had four girls make the First Team in seniors Ashton Beckerink, Emily Melquist and Tess Spangenburg, and junior Kayla Lynn.
Second-place Olean cleaned up with seniors JoJo Gibbons as the Player of the Year and Kiley Anastasia as the Pitcher of the Year on the First Team. Joining them was senior Makenna Pancio and freshman Emma Edwards.

Along with winning the Team Sportsmanship Award, Dunkirk senior Jamaladie Pacheco and junior Courtney Zatorski made the First Team.
Jamestown junior Kylie O’Brien also made the First Team.
Southwestern senior Alli Durnell rounded out the First Team.
